Letter from Executive Director on New Central Region Director-John Hilsman

Dear Member:

As the latest issue of "Camera Angles" reported, John Hilsman is Local 600's new Central Region Director.

Following Larry Gianneschi's recent departure, I am happy to report that John has hit the ground running. On January 4, First National Vice President Rusty Burrell and Business Representative Justin Conway and John met with members in Detroit to discuss how Local 600 could better serve the membership. Within the past ten days, John and I met with members at Cape Kennedy and then Rusty arranged a two-hour meeting with Orlando members last Thursday, January 17. The feedback we have gotten back from members has been very positive.

John and Rusty plan to build on this solid start by meeting with Chicago members at the end of the month.

John has been a Business Representative with Local 600 for eight and a half years. He brings a wealth of organizing experience and has an excellent working relationship with the IATSE. Most importantly, like President Poster and your National Executive Board, John is committed to creating a closer working relationship with members of the Central Region in actively serving your needs.
